What music will you play at my wedding?
We have a wonderful selection of music for weddings. If you don't know what music you would like, we are skilled at choosing music that is appropriate for your wedding.
When will I need music at my wedding?
There are four basic sections to a wedding when it comes to music - prelude, processional, ceremony, and recessional. Thirty minutes of prelude music adds ambience and gets guests comfortable. Processional music usually consists of 3 pieces of music - 1 for the mothers, 1 for the bridal party, and 1 for the bride. During the ceremony, you can add music as a special ouch to different parts like the lighting of the unity candle, after readings, communion, etc. Lastly, we have the recessional where we will play a celebratory tune for the happy newlyweds.
I have a friend/relative who sings. Can you work with him/her?
Of course. An additional charge may apply depending on extra rehearsals required and if we have to buy or arrange additional music.
There is a particular piece of music that I would like played at my wedding. Can you play it?
We would be happy to play any particular music that you like. Just like in the above question, if we have to order or arrange something there may be an additional charge.
What does the Virginia Wind Quintet need from me?
We will need a copy of the program, 5 armless chairs, and approximately an 8x10 ft area of space. We will also need someone to coordinate with to let us know when the processional is ready to begin.
Do you play outdoors?
Yes. Due to the safety of our instruments and our ability to provide quality music, we do require full shade and cannot play if there is any precipitation.
Will you attend the rehearsal?
We are very adept at playing at the right time, so there is not a need for us to attend. We can provide you with a recording of our music so that you can practice with it if you like. We will arrive well enough in advance on the wedding day to make sure that everything is ready to go.
Will we meet in person?
We like to meet our clients in person. However, everything that needs to be accomplished can be done through email or phone conversation.

What music will you play at my event?
We have a vast selection of music that is appropriate for all types of events. We are experienced at alternating different styles to provide a good flow of variety.
I need a certain type of music or song played to introduce a particular moment during my event. Can you do this?
Certainly. If we are required to purchase or arrange something then an additional fee may apply.
I am having a very formal affair. Do you have the appropriate attire?
Yes. If we are required to be formal, our men wear tuxedoes and ladies wear concert black.
What does the Virginia Wind Quintet need from us?
A program of your event if you have one, 5 armless chairs, and approximately an 8x10 ft area. We will also need parking instructions and our parking fee must be taken care of if applicable.
